Frédéric Gies arbeitete
u.a. mit Daniel Larrieu, Olivia Grandville, Christophe Haleb. 1995
entwickelte er ein Stück in Zusammenarbeit mit Odile Seitz
("Because I love"). 1998 beginnt er die Zusammenarbeit
mit Frédéric De Carlo und entwickelt mit ihm verschiedene
Stücke: "À tu et à toi", "Le
principal défaut", "En corps", "(don't)
Show it!"... 2OO4 nimmt er zum ersten Mal teil an der Arbeit
von Good Work/cie Isabelle Schad ("California Roll",
"Still Lives"). Zwischen 2004 und 2006 entstanden die
Solos: "Sleeping beauties/Ultra sexy amazons" und "The
bitch is back under pressure (reloaded)" und "dance (Practicable)".
Zur Zeit arbeitet er an "Marvel (practicable)", ein Stück
in Zusammenarbeit mit Alice Chauchat.
Produktion
"Dance (Praticable)" besteht aus einer Partitur, die
als Solo oder als Gruppe aufgeführt werden kann. Die Performer
der Partitur werden zu Co-Autoren der Choreografie. Das Stück
besteht aus der Reihung verschiedener choreografischer Stile (welcher
einem bestimmten Autor oder niemand bestimmten zugeordnet werden
kann). Diese Stile entstehen aus inneren Verschiebungen des Schwerpunkts,
auf der Basis bestimmter Körperpraktiken und nicht aus der
Reproduktion von Formen. Auf dieser Art und Weise hinterfragt das
Stück feste Vorstellungen von Choreografie, Stil und Urheberschaft.
Die Version, die zur Tanznacht präsentiert wird, ist ein Auszug
aus der Gruppenversion. Es ist Teil von "Praticable",
ein Forschungs-, Gestaltungs- und Übermittlungsprojekt mit
einer Reihe von Künstlern, das die Zusammenhänge zwischen
Repräsentation und körperlicher Praxis untersucht.

Christophe Haleb... In 1995, he creates a piece in collaboration
with Odile Seitz (« Because I love »). In 1998 he starts
a collaboration with Frédéric De Carlo and creates
with him various performances: « À tu et à
toi », « Le principal défaut », «
En corps », « (don't) Show it! »... In 2OO4,
he begins to take part in Good Work/cie Isabelle Schad («
California Roll », « Still Lives »). Between
2004 and 2005, he creates two solos: « Sleeping beauties/Ultra
sexy amazons » and « The bitch is back under pressure
(reloaded) ». In 2006, he creates « dance (Practicable)
». He's currently working on « Marvel (practicable)
», a piece in collaboration with Alice Chauchat.
Production
"Dance (Praticable)" consists in a score that can be
perform in solo or in group. The performer of the score becomes
co-author of the choreography. The piece consists in the juxtaposition
of various choreographic styles (attributable to an author or to
nobody in particular). These styles are produced by internal changes
of focus, based on particular body practices, and not by the reproduction
of shapes. This way, the piece questions the notions of choreography,
style and authorship. The version presented in Tanznacht is an
excerpt of a group version. It's part of « Praticable »,
a project of research, creation and transmission, involving several
artists, around the links between representations and body practices.
