For the last year David Hernandez has been busy with Renate Graziadei/ LaborGras and various other artists meeting, creating and performing the »Performance Hotel« performance series. Within the framework of this event based project Hernandez set forth to continue his research on movement through the creation of several duets. Each duet serves as a sort of rendezvous between Hernandez and another artist.»Bi-Polar« –after »Accompanied” the second duet in the cycle of meetings– is a research on movement, the dialogue between bodies, and the feeling of backwards. Skin, muscle and bone are the landscape for a mythology of movement in a context of disorientation.
