What do a Bavarian stenography expert, a well-known ballerina, American folk music, and the emergency procedures of the fire brigade have to do with one another? They all play a role in »Triple Bill«, the new production by Christoph Winkler. In this piece, he takes up a way of presenting dance which is particularly popular in opera houses, in which three pieces are a thematically loosely joined to an evening. He choreographs all three pieces himself, finding a unifying element for the works in the examination of famous musical compositions and literary figures, which already have their own history of reception. Such works, by virtue of their »discursive ballast«, are not defenceless in the face of each new interpretation, and we will be looking forward to seeing how Winkler handles them.
