Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, arbeitet Michael Laub an der Idee des Portraits.
Das Ergebnis waren persönliche, manchmal poetische biographische
Materialien und schräge selbst gedrehte Videos. The Biography
Remix von und mit Marina Abramovic, portraitierte 30 Jahre ihrer
Performance Kunst sowie Material aus ihrer Biografie. Im Anschluss
entwickelte Laub Portrait Series. Alone/Gregoire mit zwei seiner
bevorzugten Remote Control Productions Tänzer. Jetzt erweitert
er das Konzept mit einer neuen Portrait Serie von Menschen in verschiedenen
Städten. In Berlin wurde eine Audition im Rahmen von Tanz im
August 2006 ausgeschrieben und die Produktion mit dort ausgewählten
Tänzern, Profis und Laien besetzt.Since the commission of Portraits 360 Sek for Deutsche Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, -Michael Laub has been working on the idea of portraiture applied to the stage. The following piece was The Biography Remix with Marina Abramovic, a portrait of 30 years of her Performance Art as well as material drawn from her private present and past. Laub then focused on two of his favourite Remote Control Productions dancers to create Portrait Series. Alone/Gregoire. Laub now broadens the concept by making a new series of portraits of people in various cities.
