_ Constanza Macras _ Tamagotchi Y2K
	_ Biographical Information After having received her dance education in Buenos Aires and New York Constanza Macras started to work as a dancer within the independent dance scenes of Amsterdam and Berlin. From 1995 on she began to choreograph: "Wild Switzerland" (1998), "Face One" (1999), "Miles of Skin" (1998) and "Dolce Vita 2000" (2000). At the same time she participated in the productions of other choreographers as for instance the filming of the piece "Allee der Kosmonauten" by Sasha Waltz. Since 1996 she has been coordinating training for professional dancers at the Tanzfabrik Berlin. Her company Tamagotchi Y2k, founded in 1997, participated in the Deutsche Tanzplattform in Kampanagel / Hamburg in 2000.
_ Approach to Work Her aim is to develop structures in her work in which dance and performance skills are combined with raw movement material and improvisation. The subject matters are always predefined, but the design and structure are developed during the performance. This allows the performers to know exactly what the performance is all about, yet be required to risk something every single time.
_ Current Production "Dolce Vita 2000" is a project about cult and faulty memories. Memories of famous works which we have never seen, but about which we have heard so much that they appear familiar to us. The performers imitate these works of art, which they admire, but they also only know them through pictures, stories, conversations or critiques. In "Dolce Vita 2000" Constanza Macras examines the relationship between pop culture and autobiography. The project always takes place in cooperation with artists from various disciplines and searches for different forms of representation. "Dolce Vita 2000@ Fleischerei. I Drink to Remember" for example was a one week performance about video-clip culture in an old butchers shop.	_ Future Projects The further development of "Dolce Vita 2000" and "I Drink to Remember". The project is always going to be dramaturgically adjusted to the place in which it will be shown.
