"Dolce Vita 2000"
is a project about cult and faulty memories. Memories
of famous works which we have never seen, but about which we have heard so much that they appear familiar to us. The performers imitate these works of art, which they admire, but they also only know them through pictures, stories, conversations or critiques. In "Dolce Vita 2000" Constanza Macras examines the relationship between pop culture and autobiography. The project always takes place in cooperation with artists from various disciplines and searches for different forms of representation.
"Dolce Vita 2000@ Fleischerei. I Drink to Remember" for example was a one week performance about video-clip culture in an old butchers shop.
