_ Approach to Work

For Barbora Kryslová movement is in the fore for choreography. She is especially interested in subject matters which are drawn from people's social life. Stories, emotions or insights into conditions which are transitory and recurring wrapped into abstract forms. The search for moments which are inexpressible by language is central to her work. Moments which purely belong to dance. The question is: "How do I move; what is moving me and why?"

_ Current Production

"Pissputt" _A man and a woman - wishes and dreams. The man takes hold of a beer can, the woman of a washcloth, both meet each other in the sleeping room or at the ironing board. The brutality of emotions is shown with ease and humour. Rituals and routines in human relationships which result in emotions ranging from tenderness and devotion to loneliness and doubt are brought to light.
_ Future Projects

"Wenn ich 'Jetzt' sage, ist es schon vorbei"
Point of departure: "We grasp time only if there is noticeable movement. However, we not only measure movement by time, but also time by movement, since both define each other." (Aristotle)
