_ Approach to Work

Kosmas Kosmopoulos mixes elements of contemporary dance, theatre and modern visual arts. His main topic is the examination of the opportunities and limits of communication in the area of conflict which is created by the desire of self-realization and the claimes asserted by others. His pieces, experimenting with the perspectives of human perception, are poetic documentations of feelings and at the same time demonstrate their manifold deformations due to social conventions.

_ Current Production

In the duet "Scratches - to live by" text, video image, movement and music flow continuously into each other. A real person (Susanne Mueller, CH) and her projected figure - at the same time shadow and inner voice - move in an endless play between form and emotion, reality and surrealism, parody and seriousness, abstraction and concretion, cliché and poetry. By the means of unusual perspectives, dissolution or exchange of usual categorisations the familiar order gets cracks.
