_ Norbert Kliesch
	_ Biographical Information Norbert Kliesch started his dance education at the Tanzfabrik Berlin in 1986. Since 1988 his main emphasis of study have been ballet (Hans Vogl) and contact improvisation (Dieter Heitkamp). Since 1993 he has been teaching at the Tanzfabrik Berlin. He regularly participates at "Nichts wissen um 5" as a performer and initiated the choreographic forum "Test um 6" in 1999. In 1996 he began his choreographic studies at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst-Busch. He has worked with choreographers including Marc Tompkins, Cesc Gelabert, Claudia Feest, Helge Musial and Dieter Heitkamp. Since 1993 he has also been creating his own choreographies, at first by co-authoring the pieces "Der Spiegel", "Vorwärts" und "Private Thoughts, Public Places". In 1997 he worked as Dieter Heitkamp's assistant choreographer at the Berliner Staatsoper Unter den Linden. In 1998 he presented his second full length piece "B four".
_ Approach to Work Norbert Kliesch is especially interested in the individual movement potential and -material of the dancers when developing a piece. The main emphasis of his work is the representation of emotional conflicts between the protagonists and their scenic surroundings. Mainly social issues are the subject matter. As a means for the scenic realisation he works with the "action theatre" method which is based on terms such as space, time, form, dynamic, content and which allows an emotional access to the movement material. Norbert Kliesch strives for a synthesis of dance / movement and other media, but in his approach, which is media transcending, he always also does justice to the dramaturgical guideline.
_ Current Production In "todaycom" Norbert Kliesch picks out as a central theme our dealing with the new communication media which can be used as a substitute world for individual, concrete experiences. Virtual relationships and virtual experiences supersede real relationships and real experiences.
